Incorporated in 1981, Prantik International Pvt. Ltd. has interests in enzyme bio-stimulants, bio-remediation, organic commercial farming, and high-biomass forestry. The company has established its own manufacturing unit and trial farm in the Union Territory of Puducherry, located on the eastern coast of India, south of Chennai.
Beginning with restoring soil fertility, Prantik has developed a Systematic Farming Technology that provides custom-formulated bio-stimulants at each critical stage of a plant life cycle. The aim is to enable the plant to achieve full expression at each stage, leading to bountiful yields of markedly superior quality.
Marketed under the brand name SANJIBAN, signifying “Renewal of Life-Energy”, Sanjiban Enzyme Bio-stimulants increase both the population and the efficiency of beneficial microbes that release chemically combined soil nutrients such as phosphates and nitrates as food for the plant. Repeated use, over several crop cycles encourages earthworm activity, increases root growth and promotes better photosynthesis. SANJIBAN products enable such a holistic probiotic system of organic farming, enhancing the entire plant and the soil it grows in. It is safe, bio-degradable, totally non-toxic, posing no threat to plants, animals or water.
A recent introduction is a line of natural extracts for the Home & Garden, for soil, for foliage and flowers, for lush green lawns, as well as formulations for pest and mosquito control, safe floor wipes and a sewage de-clogger.
Bio-Rememdiation
Since 2001, the company has extended the SANIBAN range into bio-remediation of solid wastes and eco-positive treatment of liquid effluents with its Micro-Active range of organic extracts. The products have been successful in the treatment of farm wastes, Common Effluent Treatment Plants, domestic and city sewage tanks, distilleries and chemical wastes.

Organic Commercial Farming
Another pioneering horticultural product is “Jade Velvet” lawn grass, which is the pioneer brand of ready-to-lay carpet lawns in India. Organically grown, Jade Velvet is popular with leading landscapers and has also been exported to international resorts.
High-Biomass Forestry
The Company has introduced tissue-cultured clonal plants for high-biomass forestry having a 3-5-7 years harvest-cycle. The target market would be agro-forestry plantations for bio-mass for energy, furniture and building-support timber as well as fuel-wood for rural use.
SANJIBAN products are currently marketed all over India and have also been exported to the SAARC Countries and the Gulf region. All export transactions are through our associate company M/s Trans Asia International, based at Bangalore, India. Pranasaara, our marketing arm, will handle the South East Asia business.
